One folder, continuous numbering and matching track tags. Long chapters are split into equal parts. All files are copied sequentially, flushed and verified. Existing book folders are never overwritten.
The original ABS book is unchanged. Conversion happens on this PC. Use a FAT32 USB; playback order still depends on the stereo’s settings (shuffle must be off).
Each show gets its own folder. Keep the same folder names to add alongside existing episodes.
Tick shows to check. Settings on each card contains its filters, artist, folders and feed.
Search for artwork, descriptions and show information.
Tick episodes to get. Open Details & rename for descriptions, metadata and the output title. The preview shows saved cleanup and final numbering. Kept episodes are numbered from 01 too.
Existing files start ticked for deletion. Untick anything you want to KEEP. A tick means DELETE that existing file during the final USB update. Unticked files stay; files in the selected shows may be renumbered to close gaps, as previewed below. These choices are separate from downloads above.
Downloads run ahead while one audio task processes. MP3 audio stays intact.
Use Windows “Safely remove hardware” before unplugging. Finished MP3s are also saved in the PC folders you selected.
Edit filenames, titles, artists, albums, tracks, dates and descriptions without re-encoding MP3 audio. Subscription settings are on each card in Your lineup.
Checks hasbreo.com for verified Windows releases. Updates preserve your feeds, settings, history, runtime and tools. Installation waits for active work to finish. Save your preference with Save app settings below.
Updates are checked on startup.
Example: 01 - 00:30 - Episode title, or 02 - 04:52 - Episode title. Hours and minutes only; seconds are omitted. Windows filenames use 00-30 because colons are not allowed. Feed lengths are previews; finished audio is checked before final naming. Each show can override this setting.
These defaults apply to the whole app. Each podcast’s Settings in Your lineup has its own filters, title cleanup and optional download folder override.
Finished MP3s and source caches are stored here. Changing this folder affects future work; existing downloads stay where they are.
“Already on USB” is based on files read from the selected drive. Previous preparation history is shown separately. Find episodes again after changing the drive’s files.
MP3 audio is preserved. Other formats are converted, and Safety Third’s main + extra are joined. All preparation finishes before the verified USB update begins.
MP3 audio is copied while its tags are updated. Other formats are converted to MP3. Safety Third main + extra are joined; only non-MP3 sources are encoded. Other source tags and embedded MP3 artwork are retained when possible.
No speed limiter is applied. Up to six episodes download at once (default three), while one audio task runs. Actual speed depends on your network and the host. Download ETA uses measured speed and known sizes; All processing remaining covers the full audio queue; Whole preparation remaining also accounts for downloads. The current audio file shows its action, percentage and per-file estimate, with whole-stage estimates below. Estimates may be unavailable when sizes are missing.
Cancel stops downloads and conversion. Partial downloads and finished local MP3s are kept for retry. Skip affects one episode this run. The USB is unchanged until the final verified update; Cancel is disabled during that last write. Skipped and failed selections stay queued.
Each show’s Settings contains saved phrase removal and optional prefix/suffix. Review shows removals crossed out and added numbering in green. Old kept files and new episodes form one chronological queue starting at 01; kept filenames, titles and track tags can be renumbered. MP3 audio stays intact. Unselected episodes still show cleanup; select them to include the final number.
Choose Next episodes in order in a show’s Settings and set how many to find. It starts after the latest matched episode on USB, otherwise the last download. The From date is ignored for that show. Load the episode list to choose an earlier starting point; after a successful batch, progress advances automatically. Shortened and rearranged USB titles can be matched. If a match is ambiguous, choose the starting episode explicitly. Episodes must still be available in the RSS feed.
Change the default PC download folder on the sidebar Settings page, with per-show overrides in Settings. Final MP3s go there; raw downloads are in .source-cache. The USB receives one folder per show. It lists existing MP3s at the selected level and one folder deep.
Information comes from feeds or Apple’s directory. Only metadata supplied by the creator can be shown. Images are fetched and cached by the local program; private feed credentials are not placed in image tags.
Close the desktop window or use Quit program. During active work, the desktop close prompt shows live estimates and lets you keep running, finish then close, or cancel and close. The final USB transaction must finish safely. Reopening the app brings the existing window forward.
